What has been announced?
M-Files will now use SharePoint Embedded, an API service from Microsoft, to natively integrate M-Files content into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This means that documents you manage in M-Files are automatically accessible to Microsoft 365 Copilot, Teams, Outlook, and SharePoint, without separate links or synchronisation issues.
Jeff Teper, President of Microsoft 365 at Microsoft, described it as follows:

The combined M-Files and Microsoft 365 solution is now available. Co-authoring in Office is live for all new M-Files Desktop and Web users. Microsoft 365 Copilot integration and Microsoft Search support will follow in Q1 2026.
