- BUSINESS PROCESS & DIGITAL WORKPLACE CONSULTANT
The link between client, process and technology.
At SoftAdvice, we help organisations work smarter with their information, documents and business processes. Not by simply installing a tool, but by first understanding how the client works today.
That is why we are looking for a Business Process & Digital Workplace Consultant: someone who enjoys sitting at the table with clients, who dares to ask critical questions, and who can translate business processes into workable digital solutions.
From analysis to a solution that's actually used.
You guide clients through the analysis, implementation and optimisation of digital solutions around document management, process automation, collaboration and information management.
Think Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, document management systems, enterprise search, Odoo or other business applications. The technology may differ, but the foundation stays the same: understand the process first, then build the solution.
- You hold conversations with clients to properly understand their operations, processes and pain points.
- You map out business processes, information flows and document flows.
- You translate client needs into clear functional solutions.
- You help set up and configure digital workplaces, document structures, workflows and automations.
- You guide clients through projects, from analysis and design to training and go live.
- You keep an eye on scope, planning, budget and quality across your projects.
- You are the first point of contact for clients during implementations.
- You coordinate with colleagues from support, development and sales.
- You deliver training and make sure end users actually use the solution.
- You document agreements, decisions, processes and configurations clearly.
- You actively think along about improvements, both for clients and within SoftAdvice.
Not an executor. Someone who thinks along.
We are not looking for a purely technical executor who waits for everything to be fully specified. We are looking for someone who likes to take ownership, dares to ask questions, and understands that a good digital solution starts with a good conversation.
You recognise yourself in this
- An interest in business processes, digitalisation and modern workplaces.
- An understanding of how organisations collaborate, manage documents and share information.
- You can listen to clients while thinking critically at the same time.
- You dare to say what does and doesn't work.
- You can translate complex questions into clear solutions.
And also
- You communicate clearly, with clients as well as colleagues.
- You work independently, but know when to coordinate with others.
- You are precise in follow up, documentation and administration.
- You take ownership of your projects.
- You are eager to learn and actively seek out information.
You don't need to know it all yet.
Experience or affinity with one or more of these areas is a strong asset. Don't know certain systems yet, but do you have the right mindset and experience with business processes? Then we'll happily teach you the rest.
Fluent Dutch & English, French a plus.
You speak and write Dutch and English fluently. French is a nice bonus, especially given our Belgian client context.
Small team, lots of autonomy, short lines.
SoftAdvice is a small, experienced team. That means you get a lot of autonomy, but we also rely on maturity and responsibility. You work hybrid: at clients, from home or at the office. You plan your own work, actively follow up on your projects, and communicate proactively.
Sometimes you also help out with support. Not because support is an add on, but because it keeps us sharp. Support keeps you close to the reality of our clients, teaches you a lot, and builds knowledge you bring back into projects.
A fair exchange.
From you
- You log your timesheets correctly and on time.
- You keep your project documentation up to date and follow deadlines.
- You communicate in time when something changes or risks getting stuck.
- You keep up with new developments in digital workplaces and process automation.
- You think from the client's perspective: what does this mean for their operations and results?
From us
- A role with plenty of autonomy and client contact.
- Varied projects with organisations across different sectors.
- The chance to build expertise in Microsoft 365, document management and business applications.
- Support from experienced colleagues and room to grow.
- Hybrid working and flexibility in your schedule.
