What exactly is M-Files Aino?
M-Files Aino is the intelligence layer on top of M-Files: a vault application built on large language models that analyses the content of your documents and suggests the right metadata for the metadata card.
Aino also summarises documents, answers questions about the content of a file and translates information, without opening the document. Aino processes your documents within M-Files Cloud, respects the permissions of your vault, and your documents are not used to train external models.
Think of a colleague who reads every incoming document, fills in the card and asks you only to confirm.

Does Aino process our documents outside our environment?
No. Aino processes your documents within M-Files Cloud and within the permissions of your vault, and your documents are not used to train external models. Aino is available for M-Files Cloud, not for on-premise installations.
Does Aino also work on documents already in our vault?
Yes. Existing documents can be analysed in a batch, and new documents are processed when they are uploaded.
How accurate are the suggestions?
Accuracy improves as Aino processes more documents in your vault, and users always confirm or correct a suggestion before it is saved.
Does Aino work in French and English?
Yes. Aino supports several languages, including Dutch, French and English, and detects the language per document.
Which licence do we need for Aino?
Aino comes with the M-Files Essentials and Enterprise editions in M-Files Cloud; Enterprise adds Aino Agents for metadata at scale. SoftAdvice advises on the best configuration for your situation.
