Which edition fits our organisation?

Can we run M-Files on our own servers?
Yes. Core SH and Advanced SH are self-hosted editions that run entirely on your own infrastructure, for organisations with strict data sovereignty or regulatory requirements.
What does Enterprise add to Essentials?
Among others Aino Agents for metadata at scale, no-code document automation, Hubshare for external collaboration, Azure Key Vault and SSO, extended audit logging and the Microsoft Copilot connector.
Do we need to migrate our existing documents?
Not necessarily. M-Files can manage documents where they are, so network drives, SharePoint and cloud storage stay connected. Where a move makes sense, Smart Migration classifies and imports documents automatically. This choice is part of your proposal.
Does every edition integrate with Microsoft 365?
Yes. All editions integrate with Microsoft 365 and Teams. The Enterprise edition also connects to Microsoft Copilot.
